Whether it will be or not, the religion that should become most popular/common is the Baha'i Faith - the religion that advocates world unity and welcomes all and disparages none.
"The world desperately needs a new understanding of human nature and of human society that all can share. Such a vision is provided in the writings of Bahá’u’lláh, the nineteenth-century prophetic figure Whose growing influence is the most remarkable development in modern religious history.
Today, the Bahá’í community—made up of people from every race, religion, and nation—is turning Bahá’u’lláh’s vision into reality. You will want to explore it for yourself."

anyone who says anything but ISLAM doesn't have a clue what they are talking about!!!!!
Americans, get out from under your stone and travel the world a bit.
There are more conversions to Islam than any other religion
There are more practising Muslims in the UK then practising Christians
There are more immigrants arriving in western countries everyday to spread Islam and build mosques. Mainly because Islamic countries do NOT have the resources to cope with such large scale birth from nearly every citizen.
ISLAM is the new religion of Western Europe!

In ten years it will still be Christianity and Islam. It takes a very long time for religions to die out and become myths.

Sadly, probably islam, we are close to the end of times, people are turning away from God and following many false religions, wars and rumours of wars, that is what we read in the bible, we must continue to pray and be vigilant.

All religions will slowly become much less important than the respect (call it cult if you like) for Gaia, that is, mother earth. What I mean is that increasing environmental pollution and unimaginable ecological cathastrophes will make all people more earth loving and less prone in believing in gods whose existence is not provable and that are antropocentric rather than nature oriented.
