First off, I REALLY hope you're studying English Composition in school.
Secondly, yes, age is just a number, but there is a reason that it is ILLEGAL for a minor to be involved with someone over the age of 18.
At 19, he should either be finishing High School, or just graduated. At any case a young man his age should not NEED to be with a 14 year old girl, unless he himself is emotionally immature.
Please just take a step back, and think about what GOOD could come out of your relationship with him. There are all sorts of BAD things, but think of the good things. Are you all going to get married? No, you are too young. Do the decent thing and just stay friends with him, and don't risk his future, or yours.

I hate to break it to you, honey, but this looks VERY bad for you.
I hope that you're the exception - that you two really love each other. Five years' difference is a lot at your age. Think of how different you were when you were 9...
I'd advise you to keep your relationship a little hidden, because a lot of people will tell you it's disgusting. I'm going to assume that you two really do love each other purely (meaning wholly). Be strong, don't ever do something because of him.
At your age, maturity level is an issue. 19-year-old guys are likely to be more mature than 14-year-old girls. However, guys this age are kind of notorious for "preying" on younger girls who will do anything for them. Juliet was 14. Is he afraid to be seen with you? That could be a HUGE red flag - age or not.
If you want to stick with it, do so - but don't do anything you'll regret.

Your LOVE for him could put him in jail. You are too young to have a relationship with a 19 year old. Under the law he is considered an adult and you are considered a child.
At 19 he has had a lot more life experience than you. You should enjoy spending your time with your peers and not giving up your childhood to act like an adult. Chances are you will regret giving up your childhood when it is too late.

Sweetie I know you love him so much and want to spend all of your time with him and those feelings are normal. But legally you're under age and he's way to old for you and is out of school.
Imagine if you can why a boy who is 19 years old would want to spend his time dating someone who isn't even in High School yet. Why doesn't he want to spend time with kids his own age. It just doesn't make sense. I know it's difficult to look at it from that point of view but if you try you may understand.
It really does scare me when I hear things like this......And the people in your life you love you and want the best for you and don't want to see you hurt are telling you not to see him. Which probably makes you want to see him more. That's normal too.
Just try to see the love your family has for you and know that you need to do the right thing. Please don't try to grow up so fast, enjoy being 14 and doing things a 14 year old would do.. BELIEVE ME when you are 19 doing 19 year old things. You're going to miss the innocence of your age now.

it really depends how mature yu guys are. i was driving by a high school today and i thought those kids looked so young and i thought back when i was that young and it kind of made me sick that my boyfriend was 20, what did he see in me? i must of looked just as young as these kids if not younger. but i was mature enough so... again its a personal thing between yu guys, yes he can go to jail if yu or your parents press charges otherwise its none of anybodys business. oh and no age is not just a number.

Honey, you're 14. I'm sure he loves you, but if he can't wait until you reach 18, then he's not worth dating.
Right now you're playing with fire. You're young. Age is something much more than just a number, and maybe someday you'll understand that.
I would tell him to hold off on the relationship until you're 18.

First of all, you don't really love him. You're just overwhelmed by all this passion, so don't mix it with love. Second of all, you really should listen to your friends and family or whoever is telling you that you shouldn't date him. Teens should date people that are within their age range, and obviously 14 and 19 just don't mix.
