Go to Walgreens - they have something from the people that make ReCapit - it's pretty inexpensive.

I hope you were joking. You were, right?
A cavity has to be removed. There is nothing that you can stick over it that will remove the actual cavity. I has to be drilled out. Sure you can stick temporary filling material into it, just to fill in the hole, but that will not remove the decay. It will just keep getting deeper and deeper. If you are concerned about the price now, think what it would cost if you let it go and ended up needing a root canal to fix it. That would be probably 3 times as expensive.

Yes. There is a product called Dentek Temporary Tooth Filling made for just such a thing. I discovered it when I lost a filling while on vacation. You can find it at most drug stores and many grocery stores.
Bear in mind that you don't want to use this stuff for more than a couple weeks. Your tooth is at it's weakest without a regular filling and, were you to break it while using the temporary filling, it will be considerably more expensive to fix than simply have a new filling put it.
Start saving your money NOW...or find a dental school that will work cheaply.
Good luck to you!

No quick fix is not an option when it comes to your teeth..however....dental schools at community colleges depending on where you live...offer free dental...You get free dental and they get a lesson. Work is supervised by a certified dentist. It is usually free.
Sorta like the beauty schools, free hair cut to the public if you let a trainee do it for you.

Whoa! No way. But what I WOULD do is go to a different dentist - the one you've got doesn't seem to know what they're doing!
If you live near Manhasset, NY on Long Island or can get there I can recommend someone who's great.
In the mean time - don't eat taffy or hard candy or ANYTHING that sticks to your teeth.

I have replaced fillings with crazy glue before, but you have to keep the filling and glue it back in the way it was in your tooth. You may have to repeat the process every week o so.

No there is nothing you can do to help with the filling. See your dentist and ask about payment plan.

At any drugstore you can find a temporary filling. Ask the clerk where to find it. (Usually with the dental floss)
