Ignore them and pay attention to your education. Years from now you'll be successful and they'll be losers. I know this problem feels really important now, but trust me on this - it isn't, and you'll see it sooner than you think.

Wait til your 20 year reunion. They will get thiers then. The "cool" kids will lose thier looks, and not amount to much cos they were too busy being cool to study. The Geeks wind up making all the cash. The "cool" girls who couldn't be bothered to know you in school, will sure want to know you * then*, and you can have the satisfaction of having a lovely wife on your arm, that could have been one of them if they had only been nicer. Thier loss. Keep up your studies, and ignore them. Living well is the best revenge!!!! (Geek-ette over here, and proud of it! :)

Take a match to the geek list. You'll instantly become the hero of the geeks, thus elevating you to the cool status.

Or, deal with it. Kids are cruel. So is life. Its no better after high school...

Have you thought of being home schooled,or going to an alternative school.I remember those days,how i hated it.I went to an alternative school,I received a great education,as well as an apprenticeship in photography.Good luck,there is nothing wrong with you for hating this situation.Its the pecking order that happens in large group settings.You can make your life what you want.

Apparently geeks are often atheist. I put atheism in the shame-based section of society. It's based on fear of losing face, rather than fear of losing heart over a feeling of personal moral weakness.

Cool might be connected with David Hume's assessment in Dialogues of Natural Religion. Those who have a cool heart may try to resurrect it with religious exercises that ignore the fact that heart doesn't seem to want to. This lines up with Joseph Campbell's ideas in Creative Mythology. If traditional mythology (theology, social rites) fails to provide authorised signs and symbols for the individual (language would be a good way to go - it's conceptually rich and provides signs and symbols in bountiful array), that individual is faced with the choice of sticking to the traditional mythology and enduring a living death, or becoming a creative mythologist. Creative mythologists live by means of personal insights. If they're good at it, like Einstein, their personal insights will challenge the existing ideologies based on their own personal experiences. For example, there's no possible way for somebody to get all of their best insights while shaving purely based on the nature of the shaving experience. It can be explained by means of post-hypnotic suggestion, however. When you are hypnotised, you might choose to visualise yourself performing a task during which a thought occurs to you, or another action presents itself to your mind. This is like training yourself so that after you leave the trance, you have programmed yourself to respond in a certain way to a certain activity. I don't recommend it because hypnosis affects cerebral blood flow, even in a resting state, and illnesses such as epilepsy, dyslexia, depression and schizophrenia have been shown to correlate to differing patterns of blood flow to control patients or the expected usual state.

Anyway, the best way to live that I know of is one moment at a time. All of these people are being affected by things like changing toileting habits based on recent activities, sore hearts, heavy hearts, hurting hearts, stomach problems, weak backs etc. Take things one step at a time out of compassion for people. James 4:14 says that we are but a mist. We do not know what tomorrow will bring.

So what to do with yourself then? Try making things to make the school a nicer place. Read books. They're good for you. Just ignore the people meter. That's what social engineering types use. Well, actually, might be good to be vaguely familiar with it so as to fly under the radar and just get your own stuff done.

Geeks are cool.

Dorks aren't cool - but apparently they're not even mentioned for this list.

let me say this nicely...
you will laugh hilariously when you look back on the things you thought were cool in elementary or high school.

~be determined to not make either list, it'll show how unique
you are from everybody else~

Ignore them. Anyone who needs to elevate themselves or put down others is truly lacking in self esteem. Dont follow them be your own person, Trust me you'll sleep better at night rising above it all.
