From the way you wrote your question, I'd surmise that it wasn't the first time you lipped off. Before, you got a warning and a slap on a wrist; this time, you're getting the book thrown at you - and rightfully so. Therefore, I'd say the school has been more than fair with you.
Take your medicine and keep a respectful tongue in your head in the future.
EDIT: That applies to hand gestures, too. If you take Jim's advice, get ready for a longer suspension next time.

It depends on what you said to a teacher. They can suspend you for talking about because it is disrespectful to the teachers. I guess they feel it sets a bad example for other students and need to let them know that it is not tolerated. They need to let you know who is in control of the class and the school and they thought you overstepped your boundaries.

They can do whatever you want because technically you have no rights until you turn 18, or get legally separated from your parents/guardians. Whether it's right or not is a different story. In my opinion, it just teaches people to blindly respect authority, which isn't a good thing.

I can't believe the school's administrators would send you home from school solely because you are an illiterate fool. Your English may be the most horrible I have ever seen. Learn English and grammer, then complain when you get disciplined. Stay in school moron!

It can happen I hope it was worth it. When you see the principal ask him if you right to express yourself is still suspended. If he says no the give him the old finger and say free speech.

I 'respect' the action taken by your principal. You might spend your day of suspension working on your spelling skills - you will need them to be successful in life.
