I will be working in Texas over the summer and was wondering how the state taxes work. How much can I expect to be taken out of my paycheck if the check is 720 dollars?

The good news is that Texas has no state income tax, the bad news is that unless you become a resident of Texas, you will be subject to state tax for the state you live in.

No state income tax in TX. However, you'll still have to pay tax on that in your home state since your domicile won't be changing.

you can expect zero state tax to be withheld cuz there is no state income tax in the great state of TX

hummmmmm,, maybe that's why the Bush's live there??
