If you want a second date, I suggest you prepare something a little more romantic. I'd suggest a bottle of the best wine you can find (I prefer cooking sherry myself), Spam on saltine crackers as an appetizer, and throw on a little Squeeze Cheese as decoration, Hamburger helper lasagna (most women like Italian food), and for dessert, some instant chocolate pudding (and don't spend your money on the name brand stuff--buy the generic stuff from either Aldi or the dollar store. You'll also have to have a nice dessert wine. Perhaps Boones Farm "Strawberry Hill" would work nicely. It would bring out the preservative taste in the instant pudding. Since this meal is going to WOW her and knock her socks off, I suggest you buy a bottle of Reddi Whip for after dinner. ;-)

Hey Robin! If you really like this person you might want to make a more casual dinner like for example: Bake some steak and potatoes, some french bread, boiled vegetables a soft drink, and to top it off some ice cream lots of woman love a bowl of ice cream it.
It shouldn't really matter if your over doing it she will appreciate the time you have put into making her happy beside if you like someone it should not matter how much you do for her. If you make the ravioli and the ramen noodles she will look at you like your a cheap a** and you don't want to do that.

I hate to say it majority of females don't like cheap guys. I suggest going out somewhere like a restaurant like Boston Pizza and ask for a booth away from very noisy area so you can chat with her. Just wear nice clothing but not to fancy or formal or you will look like you are too serious. Then the second date at a fair or something, then 3rd at a much nicer place, then so on. First dates are suppose to be about getting to know each other to determined if there is a spark for a second date. Good Luck.

definitely over doing it. can you skip the ramen noodles? as for the canned ravioli, melt a little cheese on top and throw some parsley on top of it. and since it is a first date make her do the dishes lol.

Your date should be taking you out if she wants something different.
In this modern world where women complain about glass ceilings and sexism, yet they still expect old-school treatment that benefits them. It's all kind of hypocritical.
If this one is a keeper, you can probably splurge a little more later on - spaghetti O's.

You know you might want to grab a frozen pizza and a bag of salad...you might leave a better impression. Top ramen is okay and so is ravioli (canned) when you first move out of your folks house....but take it up a notch.
