Because the liberal media searches for them (hard because they are rare). The media will not risk putting a soldier in the spotlight who will be willing to debunk their distortion of facts. They fear that a soldier will tell the American people the way it really is and that we are succeeding and that our mission is essential and that we need the support of the American people regardless of who the president is.
The media fears truth and will only employ those people who are in line with their twisted reality.

Yah I know it pisses me off. There are hundreds of thousands of active duty military, 150k of which are fighting in Iraq, and they find that 1 a.s.s.h.o.l.e. who joined the war thinking he could just not see combat and get free college money and ends up hating the war because he cant hang.
They search so deep and go into canada to reoprt on the 1 guy who deserts and runs to canada the first time he has leave. I mean its sick.
My question is though how come Bush isnt being like otehr presidents were during wars liek WWII an marching the marines infront of a camera to give a damn status report and build some morale.

I think that the main reason why liberals get on more of the news stations because most of the news stations do put negative spins on the war. If they put a republican in the spotlight, then they may say something that would contradict the rest of their broadcast. Lets face it, civilians need to start believing more of what the people over there, doing their job are actually saying about this than what the pretty people on TV say about it. *HooRah service men and women*

There have been a few reports of media types ignoring military personnel that do not project a negative view of things in Iraq. So much for honest journalism.

because the media is looking for controversy, they believe that if they interview a liberal military person and that person criticizes the president, this will spark a big story.

I don't think it should matter what any service people believe in..they are at war...what do you have against them?
The satellite dish network shows all kinds of opinions, especially documentaries.
Stop bashing service people! I see that all the time on here.

Silly person - in America the only thing that makes the news is disaster, violence and dissent. People who make positive contributions, success stories, people who agree with policy - the "news" agencies aren't interested in that.
Five people get killed in Iraq - HEADLINE.
Twenty new water systems are put in place, providing clean water to over 100,000 people - not a mention.

How do you know they're liberal? Just because they question why they're in iraq? I know this may shock you but some conservatives aren't happy with the war in iraq.
