I am an avid competitive swimmer and I use this suff called Star-Otic. You squit some in each ear after you're done swimming/showering and it helps to dry out your ear which prevents and treats swimmer's ear. I am not sure if it is OTC or not, but even after your swimmer's ear is gone if you use it every now and then it won't come back!!

Many yeas ago when my children got this, the Dr. advised using alcohol (regular medical) and drop a couple of drops in each ear after swimming. Alcohol breaks up the water bubble.
