I agree with the child-like argument. That's what I meant, not selfishness.

Childishness implies a "me first" mentality, spoiled behavior, a refusal to accept responsibility, and a general inability to cope with reality. So no, I don't think people need to become more childish. Think about it. If you hear a grown adult described as "childish", it's never a compliment.

But becoming child-like has its moments. One can see things with fresh eyes, so to speak, and re-experience the wonder and joy of childhood, all while applying that sense of wonder to adult situations. It doesn't hurt to indulge one's "inner child" once in a while.

Depends. I think people shouldn't be necessarily childish, but should lighten up and enjoy child-like things every once in a while.

Absolutely,

When was the last time a bunch of children believed in a religion to the point of killing others over it, without adult influence.

I think Lord of the Flies was the last example, and that was a fictional novel meant to point out the errors or Adults.

More child-like...absolutely

Jesus made some pretty radical statements. One of them was, "I assure you, unless you are converted and become like little children, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."
