ok i had a prom date, who i asked myself, and it turns out that he cant go now, and my prom is in 3 weeks. i go to a VERY VERY small school, the kind where everyone knows eachother. and i just dont know what to do for a date. i dont want to ask someone else just because i already did that and it didnt work out...plus isnt the guy really supposed to ask the girl? idk maybe im wrong. but its just really depressing because to add to it, im 6ft tallt, and many of my guys are shorter than me, and pleanty already have dates. and im already wearing flats to prom to help with tha tissue. and im just really freaking depressed about this whole issue...any help or anything?

Hi Girl with a Prom Dilema,
I can sympathize with your dilema.I had to ask a guy to the prom. First and for most this is your prom. The main goal is for you to have fun. It really is not the end of the world that the guy you wanted to go can't go. Start to look at the guys that are around you.. classmates, neighborhood, church members, (my favorite) your friends who make have cool brothers (around your age of course) and cousins. Yes even relatives is an option. You have to pick someone that you are going to have fun with. The only problem is that since you only have 3 weeks left to your prom, and you are asking a guy at the last minute offer to pay for a portion of his tux or his ticket. Since it has been many years since my prom, i notice that some girlfriends or group of friends are going as a group and not much as a couples. I hope this helped some what. No matter what please go to your prom. It is a night that you will never have again. Good Luck on the search.

You don't have to have a date to go to prom. You could always go with a group of friends. You could also invite a guy from another school, if you are aloud. About the whole being to tall thing, it really doesn't matter. My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and he is a couple of inches shorter than me. Plus, a lot of guys think that tall girls are hotter. Whatever happens, I hope that you have a wonderful prom!!!

try again. if you still don't have a date, you could take a guy friend go go with your girl friends. you don't need a guy to enjoy prom

Try guys from out of town. It gives you a wide variety (taller guys) and no one knows any thing about him so everyone will be asking.

Just ask a guy that doesn't already have a date, you'll probably make his day, or week, or even year.
