The evil effects of diamond to a man is his desire to have diamonds of his own and your desire to value it more than God

If you have one sale it and give it to the poor

I only want to point out that in reality diamonds are NOT forever. Being made of pure carbon, they burn spectacularly well. They can also shatter, if struck in precisely the correct location, at precisely the angle. Once you purchase a retail diamond, you will never be able to recover full value. Diamonds are generally not a good investment, unless you're looking to buy a wife.

What saith the scripture? "In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works." 1 Tim 2:9-10. Every time we see women decked with jewelry in the Bible, there is always idolatry involved. Think about Jezebel, the same who painted her face to seduce God's servants. In Revelation there is a contrast illustrated of a harlot decked with jewelry and a woman clothed with the sun (read Rev 12 and 17). What does a woman represent in Bible prophecy? "I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman." Jer 6:2. Who is Zion? Zion is where God dwells, amongst His people. The woman represents a church. In Revelation, you have pictured a pure church with no adornments, and you have an apostate church, full of fornication, which is decked with many jewels.

I'll tell you this - lets say you spend $4000 on a diamond ring...what could you have done with that same amount?

1. Provided a full month of meals for 125 kids
2. Dug 40 clean wells in Africa
3. Bought 4 children out of slavery, or women out of prostitution?

The things in life, the material things, are the biggest snares for Christians in America. I think that when many Christians pass away, they'll be in for a rude awakening when facing God for judgement of what they've done with the gifts (including financially) in their lives.

This is coming from someone who is, bit by bit, trying to change his spending habits to glorify God.

We don't NEED anything but the necessities. With all we've got now, see how we are killing our planet! We NEED to get rid of materialisticness. Can you imagine if someone got rid of all the companies that make junky toys and stuff that is not in anyway necessary? Can you imagine if world trash would only consist of organic waste and everything was recyclable? EVERYTHING, no garbage! ( Except the real gross garbage)

matthew 19
The Rich Young Man
16Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
17"Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."

18"Which ones?" the man inquired.

Jesus replied, " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, 19honor your father and mother,'[d] and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'[e]"

20"All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"

21Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Please, all Christian women who don't need material possessions, feel free to contact me in order to dispose of your diamond rings. I will ensure that they are taken care of and you, in return, will have peace of mind and be able to sleep at night.

Thank you in advance,

Sansfear.

There's nothing wrong with having possessions that you enjoy--the problems come in when the possessions have you.
