Fund raising event

You can start by contacting the general managers of your local businesses. They are usually the ones that have the authority to access discretionary funds for community relations activities.

I have had some success with some of the local restaurants donating funds, products, and other support for my local events. Many of your local supermarkets, retail stores, and other businesses have strong community relations programs, and will set aside some funding for sponsoring local programs.

Good luck!

Look up fund-raising websites. There are literally hundreds of fund-raising programs.

A good place to start is to write a letter to all your family and friends, let them know what they are sponsoring you for and what your goal is.

I think you need to amplify on this a little bit. Tell us what type of sponsor are you looking for here.
