Norway and Sweeden consistently top the "highest standard of living" charts ,so either of them would be a sensible choice for me .
These countries tax the megga rich massively and distribute the countries wealth accordingly to those who are less fortunate .
Is this idea too simple to be true ?
I think not . the gap between the richest and the poorest within a nation always leads to social angst .
All citizens of a country "should " be equal .

Believe me, your English is better than some native speakers' efforts.
I'm from Northern Ireland but have lived in all 4 countries of the UK plus Hong Kong and Germany. I am retiring shortly to Burgundy in France.
Why France? Standard of living, scenery, climate, culture and the unbridled hospitality of our French friends and neighbours.
I wonder whether home is a place or a state of mind?

I live in Northern Ireland.
I would have liked to have lived in Holland because it is just in the centre of northern mainland europe, very easy to get to other countries, i know other countries are there too but they mostly speak french and i hated french (no offence to any french people, but i hate the language lol) and it just looks like such a cool, fun, laid back country.
I also would like to live in New Zealand, hot rugby players, great sights, adrenline junkies haven, good climate and the amount of sheep there is just fascinating lol.
Also Australia, its big, cosmopoliton, colourful, has deserts and beautiful ocean and reef, great people, love the accent and the weather would be great once i got used to it and stopped being turned into a beetroot by it lol

That language , these people , traditions ..â¥. uuhh but back to the question. I would like to visit Japan and Finland someday ^^ (not live there, because its rather impossible ; the chances that I will learn Japanese or Finnish are like 1 to 1.000.000 ; )

I'm from the USA. But I lived in Leeds, England for a while. While I wouldn't give up the experience for anything, it definitally made me miss America alot. (And not so much homesickness, but just the people and traditions and things) I think I'd like to try living anywhere for a few months but would always like to come back home to America.

Your english is fine.
I would have liked to live in my own country, so I could not have to deal with all the b.s. that people let their lives revolve around. A place where don't create problems just to have something to chat about.

I would love to live in Sweden. They really know how to stay out of fights with other countries. Sweden also enjoys a very good standard of living, excellent schools, very good health care and beautiful people.
