Actually that sounds pretty good, provided the shop is using Motorcraft components.
Fords are known to be picky about ignition parts. Find out if they are going to use Motorcraft parts. If so, go with it.

DUDE, I've got This Property in Arizona, thats like right on the ocean and I'll Sale it to you for the LOW price of just 100K for a 1 acre parcel. Ford Racing High performance spark plug wires for either the 5.0 or 5.8 are $41.95 through Summit Racing. http://www.summitracing.com Shipping is uuhhmm FREE and Bosch Platinum spark plugs can be picked up in a set of 8 just about anywhere for under $20 If you feel inclined to go with the Bosch +2 or +4 you're looking between $30-$40 for a set of 8 OR you can order a set of NGK splitfire plugs from Summit along with the Ford Racing 9MM wires for $62 Go to store buy a ratchet and spark plug socket that'll set you back another $15 so for $77 and 15 minutes (thats right 15 freakin minutes is all it takes the average mechanic to change all 8 spark plugs AND the wires on either the 302 (5.0) or 351W (5.8) and if you happen to have a 4.9 I6 it only takes 10 minutes!!!!! SOOO doing the math you are willing to pay them $123 for 15 minutes worth of work. that equates to $492 an HOUR!!!!!! If you happen to already have a ratchet and spark plug wrench then you'd be willing to pay him an equivalent of $552 an HOUR!!!!

OHHH and O.E. Motorcraft wires are $39.95 and Motorcraft plugs are $31.60 for a set of 8 (the NGK's are better BTW) Also available through Summitracing!! (that is $453 and $513 an Hour respectively figuring whether you have a ratchet and socket or if you gotta buy one. Average mechanic shop time is $45 an hour so assuming $72 in parts and $45 1 hour minimum shop labor you should only be looking at $117 $125 MAXIMUM!!!!!!!!!

Depends upon the engine but yes Wires aren't cheap anymore... I know Ford wires for a v-8 are roughly $100... But plugs, wires, and labor for a independant is pretty good and fair using name brand products

relies upon the engine yet particular Wires are not much lower priced anymore... i understand Ford wires for a v-8 are greater or less $a hundred... yet plugs, wires, and exertions for a independant is especially reliable and truthful making use of call variety products

this is a very fair price, actually less than I would charge but they may not be using O.E. motorcraft parts, I would suggest that you find out and get them to do so.
