I'm going to my first nascar race on April 28 and 29. What should I expect? We have tickets for the tower. Are the people friendly? How much partying goes on? Tell me everything I can expect to experience.

Its everyday people enjoying themselves doing something they don't do everyday....You can experience just about anything there depending on where you are and who your with.

its not alot different from sitting in the stands of a football or baseball game where they sell beer....
come on people stop making it sound like us redneck hillbillies are BAD folks. We pay our taxes just like the rest the world....
Go have a GOOD time. and if you don't you know where the road is.....

I have been to many races and if it's hot expect guys with no shirts on and girls in bikinis no matter their wait. People at the races don't care what they look like. There are some drunk people but they're usually nice, fun, and loud. Yes there is a lot of rednecks there but they are nice especially if they like the same driver as you or if their driver is doing good in the race. Also you might want to get a race scanner there because then you can listen to all the drivers complain and talk to their crew.

Talladega becomes the 5 th largest city in Alabama for the race weekend.
There are 200,000 race fans and support persons,the infield is the largest infield party on the cicut.

take your wall-mart in Alabama take the shopers out of the store put the them in bleachers and get them drunk. thats a good indicator.
