This is the best advice I can give. It was given to me by my 2nd graders school teacher.

Draw a picture of the scariest monster you can imagine. At the bottom of the picture write the words "don't feed the monster"

Now imagine that monster inside of you. He eats all of the negative thoughts that you have. Thoughts like, "your an idiot, grow up, be a man, what's wrong with you, your so ugly, how can i live being this way, what is wrong with me" those things or any other negative thoughts you might have. He feeds off those things. The more he eats the bigger he gets. He is depression. If you stop feeding him he will shrink. He will get smaller and smaller until he no longer exists. In fact saying positive things to yourself actually shrinks him too.
This is not an immediate cure, you won't feel better tomorrow morning. But by the sounds of it you've been feeding him for quite awhile so I'm sure he's pretty damn big by now. Just stop feeding him, and start shrinking him.

This may sound silly but it really helped me. I hope it helps you too.

I am so sorry you are feeling down. When I went thru hard times, I always tried to remember that without suffering there would be no compassion. Wake up every day and tell yourself that today is going to be a good day. Life is all about choices, choose to be positive and make the choice not to let other people judge you, and if they do, choose not to care what they think! There is always counselors and therapists available as well if you feel this is too much for you to do alone. Or find a friend or family member that you are close to, give them the chance to support you. There are also medications available that will help, ask your doctor. Take care and may tomorrow be brighter.

I cant help you unless i know what is causing the depression. Depression can be temporary or longterm. Temporary depression are cause by normal everyday situation. For example, death of a loved one, divorce, breakups, ect., in that case you can talk to a counselor/clinical psychologist to help you cope with the depression. But longterm depression(depressive disorders) in which you cant identify what is making you feel depressed is a different problem. IT is caused by chemical imbalance in the brain. In this case you have to see a psychiatrist.
