It is known that Jesus and his dicsiples had the last supper on a Thursday evening to celebrate the passover. And in Leviticus 23 it states that we should remember and celebrate the Passover on the 14th day of the first month of the year Abib, which is the month of April. If Jesus had the last supper on that day, which happened to be on a Thursday, Why not take communion (the bread and wine) on this day? The facts are there, but why do Catholics and many christians follow the Roman Calender when the bible is established by the Hebrew Calender?

I believe that we should practice the last supper as the first century Church, as taught by the apostles. Like the first century Church we should make Christ the focus of our worship whenever we are gathered together. Christ said to "do this" and stated that when we do, that it is truly the real corporeal presence of Him that we eat and drink, His real flesh and blood.

So, while passover is only once a year, the Eucharist is the Christian sacrifice that replaced the Passover celebration. It is to continue without ceasing until our Lord comes again.

In Christ

What we understand from the Last Supper, is that Jesus asked His Apostles to partake of the New Covenant at the traditional meal of that day.

Broaden your understanding out to include every traditional meal of any day.
Turn every meal into a reminder of the New Covenant .

Thursday June 28th is every bit as important to be reminded our our salvation as Thursday of Holy Week.

Every day can be a day for communion. Don't wait 'til it's a day for church.

Church is on Sunday so it is probably to do it then rather than have a second service. We do it every Sunday.
