If you want true Japanese Green tea, it is best to find a store that sells Japanese food products.

There are to main types, Bancha and Sincha, the sincah is a growth from the early season and is the top brand. Bancha, is the lesser grade and is from the second growth in the late season, it is good but is not the finest. Sincha, is the best and has the best flavour.

There are some on-line sites that sell Japanese products, find one that sells the teas and get one from them.

Basically if the tea colour is really green (not yellow), it should contain more vitamin C than Red (Black?) tea. Chinese green tea and Japanese green tea, both use the word "green" but how to process the leaf is different. Most of Chinese green tea is more oxidised for flavour, so that Vitamin C might become less, but flavour might be stronger.

I see it at the grocery store all the time. If it is not available, check at the mall for a Tea Sellers, like Teavana.

Buy it a a large grocery store that stocks Asian and specialty foods. If you can't find it, you might be able to find a specialty Japanese supply store in your area.
