Yes it will slowly build, but if you really want to build more leg muscle you will have to do a little more then that. 30 minutes to start, and do that for a week, then add another 10/15 minutes each week and max out at roughly either 1 60 minute run or two 30s. Now to build leg muscle U need to push weights with your legs. That can grow your legs about 20/30% more in just a few months. Note that pushing weight makes them build muscle but it doesnt build stanima within your legs. Mix the two. Run 30 minutes twice a day is good, and then possibly three days a week push weight with your legs. If the gyms not an option stick to the squats.

only initially with the right diet...the amount of tension that is placed on the muscles is not sufficient to stimulate hypertrophy for long term gains in mass.
so yes when you first start if you were previously inactive there may be an increase in muscle mass. but it's not like the legs would just continue to get bigger and bigger. just like the push-up the gains are quick and very short lived.

I do stairs or the stair master once or twice a week.
I like lunges for my legs and squats for my glutes.

Reminds me of my high school days, when coach would make us run the bleachers.
I reccomend WALKING on the way down.

Absolutely, but be careful running....you could fall or twist a knee or ankle.....I would just walk up stairs....just more of them
