Commandment #5. So basically, yeah you can smack your children around if they get out of line. It's God's will.

Many Scriptures do in fact promote physical discipline. "Don't fail to correct your children. They won't die if you spank them. Physical discipline may well save them from death." There are also other verses that support physical correction (Proverbs 13:24, 22:15, 20:30). The Bible strongly stresses the importance of discipline; it is something we must all have to be productive people and is much easier learned when we are younger. Children who aren't disciplined grow up rebellious, have no respect for authority, and as a result obviously won't be readily willing to obey and follow God. He uses discipline to correct us and lead us down the right path, and to encourage repentance for our actions (Psalm 94:12; Proverbs 1:7, 6:23, 12:1, 13:1, 15:5; Isaiah 38:16; Hebrews 12:9). These are just a few verses about the good of discipline.

the bible doesnt say that, but then again the bible says many things indirectly and many things apose each other in the bible, the bible is just a story book for peaple that are insecure and want something to look forward to and give them imaginary friend in their time of need, its true that the bible has many flaws and if its considered the word of god, then that is flawed, bible tells you good things like love your neighbour but contradicts them in other articles indirectly.
To your question if i child got out of live violence is never the way to solve anything, cause he will not learn, the only way he will learn is if you make him relise what he did wrong by talking and administrating an apropriate punishment from which the child will learn

First the Bible does not say it's ok. Violence is never the answer. There is a text in the Bible, I don't remember where, that people use to say it's ok to smack or spank their children. It says, "spare the rod spoil the child." I don't believe that that is what the text is saying at all. Sparing the rod is refering to proper discipline, not spanking with a rod.

Spanking is totally legitimate and it doesn't have to be hard just effective. It's to be corrective and not out of anger. If you do it right it's not that often and it shouldn't go past 5 years old. It is not the only means of correction either. You don't smack your kid and belittle them. Disciplining you kid is to teach them consequence for their actions, correcting antisocial behaviors, and promoting health behaviors. Its not about beating the crap out of kid.
Don't be part of the thought controller, mind controller, family controller police. The Bible speaks about the rod of correction but it's not some sadistic, abusive, thing that you make it sound like.

The Bible does not say its OK to smack your kid.
"smack your kid."
Why express yourself that way?
The Bible gives authority to parents to physically punish their children AS A LAST RESORT.
Even then, however, it is not to be done in anger, nor to be carried out in an excruciating manner.
A few taps on the Gluttonous Maximus should suffice ....as a last resort.

Spare the rod and spoil the child.........
You teach them how to behave and what is acceptable when they are very little, then they retain that knowledge and respect through out their lives. You don't need to smack them later if you have done your job properly. Thats not to say occasionally when they defy you that they don't need a nice back handed smack........just ask my daughter! She says she deserved it the two times she received it.

hahaha makes no sense what youre saying. Why do people always refer to the bible as something violent. We have a loving God, He doesn't want us to abuse our children but a little spanking doesn't hurt. Nowadays if you do that you are scarring your kids for life but those same kids who aren't disciplined rule their parents. Lie steal do drugs and hit their parents ironic isn't it.
