Is it an either, or proposal? The Bible says that man was created a little lower than the angels - so in that way they are closer. However, God never became an angel, and never died to save them - so in that way we are closer. We were made in the image of God, not angels.

Those who worship angels, would be the same as worshipping an animal, a heavenly object, a plant, or another human. The created should not worship the created, but if you are going to worship, worship the Creator.

We are all created by God, angels and humans a like.

I think God created Angels as a way of showing us he is there. He uses angels to communicate with us and to illustrate things. I do not thing that angels should be worshiped though.

The angels are right now. However there is a verse in the New Testament (I can't remember where) that says that because of the pain and suffering we went through here on this earth, when we enter heaven we will be higher than the angels.

It's bad Christian theology to worship angels, and most of the discussion about angel's roles are not scriptural, but are from Paradise Lost by John Milton.

There's little discussion of angels in the New Testament at all. They are merely messengers.

Man. God desires a very close relationship with all of us. Thats why he is called our heavenly Father. For he will never forsake us, even if our earthly father has. God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit should be worshipped, not anyone else. If you have any doubts just get a Bible with a good index, in the back and you can look up topics and questions. That section will refer you to the chapter you need and scripture you need to understand it all. Believe me it takes alot of studying the Word to really get it, and we are all still learning. May God bless you with more wisdom:)

Worshipping Angels, borders on Blasphemy.

man. God created man in his likeness, to fellowship with him. Man was given a choice, and man fell. His word tells us about the intimacy he has with us- he knows the numbers of hairs on our heads- he sees us when we wake and when we sleep. He loved us so much he died for us- not the angels. The angels have a job to do- to watch over us. God gave us his son as an example of unconditional love.

Well let's consider what we have here

God is not physical but spiritual.
Angels are not physical but spiritual.
Man is physical and not spiritual. (In this current form)

God is in Heaven
Angels are in Heaven
Man is on Earth

I'd say the answer is clear.
Angels are closer to God then man is!
