And it was not untill US has invaded that part !!!....They were living in peace togather untill they were made the victims of politics..You see ! when you would play with the pshyche of the country, you should be aware that they could react in anyway...its natural for them to feel so for chriatains who are invading their part and are responsible for all that miseries....ofcurse they can't hug them for all what is being done in their country !! Anyways..its the social attitude not religious ! when you call a part "the war zone" and everything is Just there even the killing of innocent civilians so i don't think this threat should be considered a big deal....afterall it is just a threat till now !and the church is safe and sound !! just giving a small example...when the gunman killed Americans in Virgina and some asker asked that why killing of americans is a big deal while daily 100 people die on average in Iraq is not considered important so some american responded that that is a "war Zone" and everything is "just" there...but not fine with the democratic US !! So you see Even American think that Everything is "normal" for that part !!

I don't favour this thing but you know the Pain which Americans felt for those Uni student in Virginia for the first time in their lives , we muslims suffer that pain daily !

Believe me !!

Have a good day!

I don't think there are churches in Iraq. And anyway it's because the Cross is seen to Muslims in the Middle East as a sign of all the blood spilt by Christians in the name of their religion. It's also because of the Crusades when millions of innocent Jews and Muslims were murdered by Christian invaders. And also because the Christians from America invaded Iraq once during the first Gulf war and put crazy Saddam in power. And then they went into Iraq again and have been there for like 6 years and the Iraqis and the rest of the Middle East don't want the Americans in Iraq.

The Muslims in Baghdad see the Coalition forces as an invading force. If an army from (for example) China invaded California, wouldn't you do everything in your power to get rid of them?
This is the way that many Muslims in the Middle East see the American and Coalition forces.

It would be nice if all religions were free of persecution, but unfortunately the monotheistic ones have a bad track record. For many the Xian cross represents murder/genocide or being burnt alive. In Baghdad atm, not showing off Xian crosses is a small price to pay for religious freedom.

Fanatical Islamic communities in touch on the palestinian side: Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah (it truly is Lebanese yet linked with Hamas), Muslim Brotherhood (it truly is Egyptian yet linked with Hamas) in terms of Jewish fanatical communities, there are no real "fanatical" communities in touch. The a approaches precise-wing Jews, often used as charedi, even have faith that Israel does no longer have an actual to exist as a results of fact the messiah has no longer yet come, so as that they've a tendency to side with the palestinians. between the extra reasonable Jews, there are people who have faith in settling all of Israel claiming the winning of the 1967 conflict as their precise to stay on the land.

Why should the Christians live in peace in Baghdad? No one else is.

When you toss people into an inhumane situation, don't expect them to act humane. Christians and Muslims did live peacefully in Iraq under a secular constitution. When we invaded, we handed the country to the extremists, with their new constitution having Sharia law as the top law in the land.

Remember a lot of Christians are in their country against their will. It will be hard for them to "accept" and trust us. I happen to have a few muslim friends and we get along just fine. There is mutual respect among us. The best advice is to remember the teachings of Jesus concerning peace.

after the death of Muhammad(pbuh) the muslim community was ruled by caliphates, and they allowed christian churches and left them at peace, so it is not the religion to blame. the reason why they do this is because they are not educated rightly in islam.

There is a civil war going on there thanks to America so do you really think they will live happily ever after? We needed to blame some one for 9/11 and instead of blaming Osama we blamed all Muslims (all not some) while they need to blame some one they can't fight the forces on there own so they blame the churches and the cross..its human nature........ always blame the ones who can't fight.....
Besides what churches in Iraq?
