You're a mainstream Christian, rather than the extremist variety. Tempering common sense with religious ideas shows maturity and confidence in what you belief to be true.

I would venture to say it's a little odd, but I understand that you can't just turn on and turn off beliefs like a faucet. Some beleifs just have to develop with time and experience.
You've got the biggest miracle (the miracle of forgivness) down - that probably is the one that really matters the most to you as an individual, so that's great.
Perhaps just let yourself be open to the idea that other miracles can happen. It might help to think of it this way - a miracle is an action of God that we don't know yet "how He did it." When we figure out how He did it, we call it science. To Him, these miracles are perfectly logical and simple to do, we're just not that smart yet to understand them all.
Best wishes

You have very little faith. I am a Christian also, so this is a heart to heart, Christian talk. Miracles are like Blessing. You get Blessings through Gods Grace. You get Gods Grace through your Faith. See, the more Faith you have in God, the more God says, look, my daughter totally believes in me, knows I'm there for her . Hes almost like your cheerleader. You also have to know, when you ask something from God and you don't get it, you have many things to look at. One, either God knows its not going to turn out the way your thinking it will, two, it just may not be the right time for it at the moment, or three, he feels you couldn't handle it, so may-be he will have you go through other things to help make you stronger, and when he feels you are ready, it will happen. See, all this goes back to your FAITH. The hardest part is you saying you don't believe in Miracles is as much as saying you just don't believe at all. Bacause when you say I do believe, you mean you believe God can do anything. Theres no limits. With Gods ablity, there is no limits. But until you believe, you'll never see. Thats why alot of people don't see. Just like that women that bleed for 12 or 18 years, and no doctor could fix her. She BELIEVED that Jesus could cure her, she hardly touched the hem of his garmet and she stopped bleeding and Jesus said to her, through your FAITH, you've been cured.I really hope you can feel what I'm trying to tell you. That is either in Matthew or Luke. Blessed be Always -

I think I understand your view and I say I agree. I do however believe that God can still perform miracles but they are not like the raising the dead, walking on water, turning water into wine or making the blind to see or paralyzed to walk. I believe that through prayer God works miracles in sublte ways such as through doctors or other peoples help. Do I believe in mystical, magical miracles? No.

i dont blame you,, maybe you've never saw miracles or felt a miracle before.... and i'm not talking about the ones on T.v.,
No. real miracles hapening, i'm Armenian Syrian,, and there is a church in a village in Syria, named Yackoobia,, here there are miracles happening almost everyday...
the one that my family and relatives experienced was the glowing of an old painting of Saint Anna.... they were taking the dust of the paintings of the church,, when suddenly,, the painting over the candles (the painting was so dark and old from the heat of the candles) started to become new as if freshly painted, my mother, grandmother,, aunts..etc.. started crying from their overwhelming.......but the daily miracle that happens there is the rolling of Saint Anna's eyes in one of the pictures,,, every year i go, i see it,,, even sometimes,, the faces of Jesus and Virgin Mary appears on her hands.....now do u believe in miracles?!, if u still dont try to go there and see by yourself and hear the stories of at least thousand miracles.....

Okay I would have to honestly say yes because that somehow sounds like your doubting God, but I recently witnessed an amazing miracle so I am a pretty firm believer in miracles now.

becoming a better person by your own effort is not a miracle, and, personally, its not what God wants you to do. He wants you to ask His help BECAUSE you CANNOT do it all by yourself. He loves it when you trust His support. Miracles still happen today, but they happen when people trust Him and remain in His peace (John 14:27)

I thought believing in miracles was a prerequisite for being a Christian. I guess you proved me wrong. It doesn't make you awful, just unusual.

Miracles have nothing to do with salvation, which IS the most important thing to a Christian.
I work in medical, see miracles all the time. So, I kinda have a upper hand in knowing they exist.

What about Jesus turning water into wine, walking on water, feeding the multitude, calming the sea, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, raising the dead, etc.
I'm not sure how you can be a Christian and not believe in these miracles.

If you do not believe in miracles, what would you call Jesus resurrecting three days after his death? I would consider that a miracle and if you don't believe that happened and was in fact a miracle, then you should seriously reconsider your religion.
