I am NOT talking about the rapture.
I am talking about a gentle man with gnostic beliefs that bordered on Buddhism. Wait, I can see the answers to that one.LOL
No, lets say a gentle man who spoke of loving each other and God. Jesus was a liberal of his time, and they killed him for it. He said those without sin cast the first stone, so I can see him standing up for the rights of all people. He said Judge not, lest ye be judged. Now how liberal is that?
Everything he stood for goes against judgement. Christianity is about judgement, or at least some Christians are.
Would you accept him?

Jadebird, thanks for your answer. I was intending for this question we would pretend that he was born of a virgin.

I absolutely believe Christians would not accept Jesus as divine, under the situation you describe. Christianity has perverted its original namesake into something he never was.

I would, but for many people, including Christians, what Jesus taught is far from what they believe.
They would probably want to stone him again, for the same reasons people had in the first century:
1- He was too friendly with the underclass
2- His doctrines were radical for the time
3- He didn't care much for tradition
4- He spoke the unpopular truth
5- He stuck to "It is written..."
6. He rejected accolates and peer pressure
7. He put spiritual things first
8. He rejected militarism and nationalism
And a lot of other reasons.
In fact, Jesus himself indicated that when he came, he would have problems with some who claim to be Christians: Matthew 7:21-23; Luke 18:8
Perhaps, then, the more important question is, would Jesus accept them?

It would be tough for someone to believe based on teaching alone, which is truly sad, but as Jesus told Thomas after His resurrection, "Blessed are those that have NOT seen yet believe." If Jesus were to come again for a purpose NOT dealing with the Rapture or the Millennial Kingdom, I'm not sure people as a whole would accept Him, despite the teachings we have at our disposal that allow us to differentiate between the tenets of Christ and the "false Christs" etc. we're warned about.

it must be smart that you need to outline judgment, you're saying some Christians favor to guage.regularly human beings say this even as a christian has said a sin of their lives, Jesus stated we will recognize them by way of their fruit and if you're carring some rotten end result on your basket, i guess a believer has a suitable to point them out to you on your own income. This all of us have a challenge because we like sin or perhaps as one exposes it in our lives we accuse them of being judgmental. Judgment will be on the precise of time and in straightforward words God will decide all mankind. Jesus did no longer have a challenge with the instantly ahead guy yet with the Pharisees who were self righteous. So if you're self righteous, definite you'll have a challenge with Jesus , yet in case you search for actuality you'll settle for him.

I would and I think some others would too but I don't think most christians would because of the fact that if he did come back in this way the words and teachings in the bible would really mean nothin and would be a contridiction because him being physically "born" goes againest their beliefs

Some would, some would not. In the days of Jesus some accepted him, some did not. In the old testament times, some accepted the prophets, some did not. Even today some accept modern day Prophets, some do not.
I hope that I would accept him.

that's why i think it's funny that liberals reject Jesus- Jesus was the most radical human that ever lived- He stood up to the religious leaders and people who didn't live the Bible- and yet they reject Him- how ironic is that? a lot of people get on here and bash a small minority of Christians- and i'm willing to bet that Jesus would bash on those same individuals who don't live the Bible.

He came into the world - and the world knew him not.
The kingdom is not coming with any striking observableness.
When He comes, people will fight against Him as before.
I did - accept him I mean.

Nope!
He most likely be shot by some religious nut!
After all what he would say would threaten the established religion (Christianity) and that would get him just as dead!
