I am exactly the same way. I can zone out for hours if I wanted too and be much happier than I would be if there were people around me. It's so relaxing to just sit by yourself and think isn't it? Glad to know there are others like me.

I'm the same way. My mother as well, she's been single for 12 years and said she is HAPPIER now.
I like company but I never get bored, my thoughts are entertaining and I often laugh alone. A lot of people are boring and a waste of time in my opinion. But dont seclude yourself from friends, there are probably a lot of personality types like you and they will make the best connections. They understand you and are not overbearing. Me and my best friend stay in contact via text messaging and communicate all of our abstract thoughts that only us loners can relate to!! Good luck. Dont follow the trends, be the lead in your own life!!! :)

There is NOTHING wrong with getting along with yourself. If that's what you're comfortable with, then by all means live your life by yourself and on your own terms. I wouldn't advise you to go so far as to become a hermit, but there's no rule that says you have to be social either. If and when you feel like being around other people, seek them out. Otherwise, just do your own thing.

I have been thinking the same thing lately. That is why my sleeping patterns are so bad! I love staying up all night- it is so quiet! No one calls me and makes any noise. I mean I love talking to people but I love piece and quiet!
It isn't just you. I wonder that myself sometimes and wonder how even though I love so many people, why do I love being on my own so much. I prefer shopping alone. I prefer watching movies alone. I prefer to read when there is no distraction.
Don't worry, it is normal and healthy to enjoy your own company.
Still remember your friends though!
Ahhh, piece and quiet.

I'm the same way. I'm never lonely but I'm alone alot. My husband leaves for work at 6:30 a.m. and comes home at 7 pm and sometimes I think God he's home already. I love him but I guess I love myself more. My kids are grown, so its just me and my dogs. I do whatever I want all day long and I enjoy it.. The best friend you'll ever have in your life is you. I think we're lucky.

YOU ARE LUCKY! coz i need my girl -always.
Maybe find somebody you can love and you share your 'world' . And you will find out there is a better situation than being all alone. And that is the best thing really- to love someone and be loved in return.

That is when I am most content, being alone. People just seem to get in the way. I like being alone. I like myself. I like my own company and there is no danger of getting in an argument or misunderstanding.
