Thank you for your question. When I say I believe in God I mean I believe in a concept that is too big for my mind to understand. God is that big. When I say I have faith I mean I choose to look forward to or believe in something or someone that is intangible, not there, can't see, feel, hear or touch but know is there. That is my faith. I don't have to KNOW for sure or explain how it happens. I have it despite what others may think or feel. Doesn't make any sense but you asked. I speak to God as if God were my own parents, or closest friend. I don't ask God for anything except peace and happiness for the people I love or care about and often for those who are troubled and needing help the most. You asked a question that envelopes many parts so I apologize for the brevity of my answer. Good luck to you!

I live by Faith and Faith alone. I know that many people do not understand this concept because it isn't scientific, but I do not need science to tell me what my heart knows. I have Never Never doubted the existence of God, and I never will.
As for praying, I talk to him like I am talking to you. There is a feeling of Peace that comes with it because I KNOW that he is listening. He always answers my prayers, it may not be the answer I want, but nonetheless, it is answered.

When I pray, I try pray with humility towards Father in Heaven. I know that every word out of my mouth is only heard because of the Savior, so I try to make my words mean something. I pray with an open mind and heart so that I can hear anything the Lord might be trying to tell me. I also try to pray with gratitude so that what the Lord has done for me is more apparent in my mind.

Model your praying after Matthew 6:9-13. Us this as a guide to develop your own prayer life----do not repeat the exact words, but personalize it. Faith is hope in the unseen. Faith is hope in the promises of god.

It depends if I am thinking about God with my head or with my heart. Someone once asked me to tell them about the God that I knew in my heart. The God that I KNOW is a God of Love, and great peace... the peace that comes over you so softly and tenderly and bathes you in a sense of wholeness and tranquility. He has a sense of humor. He is compassionate and forgiving. He is the perfect parent. He loves each of us as if there were only one of us to love.
Prayer is done in many ways. Morning and evening I say the Psalms out loud as part of what we call the "Divine Office". Sometime I just sit with Him in the silence. Through the day, I just talk to him mentally or outloud as to a friend.

Don't feel bad, Christs desciples had to ask Him how to pray. I follow the "Outline" Christ left for us. First He Praised the Father acknowledging that He sought Gods Perfect Will in His request. Then he asked for Gods bountiful provisions and our other requests including the forgivness of sin. Next he asked for guidance away from sin & temptation ending again in Praise of the Father. John

When I pray I thank god for everything that he has given me and I ask for certain things in life that only he can change like healing someone, taking away thier pain, or to be by myside or someelses when in need for help. When I pray I talk to god like he is my best friend, and I know he listens. Casey:)

Faith is not conducted by feelings. That`s why many Christians experience so many ups and downs, including myself. I pray by faith which works by love (Galathians 5:6)..by knowing His love for me. :) and being grounded in the gift of forgiveness and righteousness given to me.

Faith is blind and sometimes it's hard for people to believe in something that they can't see....Praying gives me a peace of mind... mostly when i'm stressed i feel the peace of mind when i get down on my knees and pray... it does come from the heart.... get on your knees and ask God to guide you and he will (God willing) I talk to God like he's right next to me and some people think i'm crazy, but God is mercieful and i ak Him to forgive me if i'm doing something wrong... and i believe because i've asked for something to happen and it has, like seconds after i asked for it, talk to Him as if he is your friend

Just close your eyes and babble, supposedly god speaks babble and will have one of his angels interpret through someone else so that you can understand what the heck you just prayed for. Then he'll send an answer. It will invariably be yes, no, or wait.
I know, I know... I'm "gowan ta Heyool!"
