Actually, the Bible says that they left off building the city. The Bible does not mention the fate of the tower itself.
Tradition teaches that the tower was actually built to completion, then it was destroyed by either lightning, an earthquake (which would totally fit with the movement of the techtonic plates), or by strong winds.

Americans and the English have a hard time understanding each other and we have a common language.
Blueprints and understanding them are not universal. Only a few on a constrution site ever see the blueprints anyway. Most everything else is verbal communication.
So yes, language would have stopped it.

Yea, totally have you ever tried to make something with people who just stare at you, understanding/communication to pull it all together is key...Man, family speak the same languages as i do and we still find it hard to build things.
