Sorry for saying this but the only thing you can get doing it is .....That You´re going to keep all your calories your body has because it needs to survive and if you only drink water and no food you´re not only going to lose any weight and you´ll probably put on some when you start eating again.
Our body is a very intelligent machine and you never can fool it, it knows exactly what is good for itself.

When you don't eat your body goes into starvation mode and it takes longer to lose weight. If two people are lost where there is no food and only water to drink and one person is heavy and the other is a normal weight, the person that is heavy will live longer than the smaller person because they have more fat for the body to live on.

Not that much because actually with just one day your body would be saving its fats, not burning them. It would takes many days of doing this before you even BEGIN to start losing any weight. The first day it would just save fats, then the next following days it would start to consume itself.

btw 3 pounds can be lost just from going to the bathroom or moving the scale to the right. I've tried it.

How much weight is lost depends on current weight, calories burned, and your metabolism. That being said DON'T DO IT. Starvation diets cause your metabolism to slow down, meaning you will burn fewer calories and have a decrease in energy. Your friend who lost 3 pounds in a day probably lost water weight and weighed less due to her bowels being empty. Drinking plenty of water can cause you to retain less water, but does not burn fat cells.

Have you ever fasted? Whether you drink water or not, you don't have any energy, so you can't do your normal calorie-burning activities. Then at the end of the fast, you're starving and can't really help eating and getting back at least half of those calories you missed. Fasting for a diet sounds ineffective and not very fun.

You might lose a pound or two. It would be better to eat your weight plus one zero calories, run 2 miles and then sit in the sauna for 20 minutes.

I did this when I was detoxing my body. The first day I lost 2 pounds. It's basically water weight though, assuming you're not excercising.

I'm glad you aren't "gunna" do this. Everyones body is different. One person might lose 3 pounds and another may not even lose 1 pound. No way to know.
But since you aren't going to do this, it doesn't matter......right?
