Yes. Have you ever seen 'out-takes' from the Simpsons? No. That is as likely, as a fundamentalist's concept of prophecy. Many people refuse to accept the dramatic nature of apocalyptic literature. It was very big, back in the day, and had a lot less to do with Theology, and a lot more to do with entertainment. Most drama from that era was as simple as 'Road-runner' cartoons. Does anyone ever think the coyote will catch the road-runner? No. Is ACME the source of all evil deeds. No. Can people get so wrapped up in the drama, that they miss the message, and rob themselves of the joy? YES!
