Treadmills are expensive though there is a slim chance you might find a used one in that price range. I have never seen a new one that low. Try looking for used on of any of these models listed with their new price...all rated highly by Consumer Reports:
Vision Fitness T9200 Simple , $1300
Horizon Fitness Performance Series PST8 , $1600
Keys Fitness Ironman 320t , $1200
NordicTrack S1900 , $1600
Bowflex 7-Series , $1500

I'd like to suggest you think about an elliptical trainer instead because you would definitely find a used one in your price range. Also, they provide a better all around work out and are very easy on the joints.
Consumer Reports recommends the:
Pro Form 700S $500 new
Schwinn 418, $1000 new

Since the pro form is $500 new, you could probably pick it up used for a really decent price.

Good luck in your search!

There really isn't a whole lot down in the $300 price range on treadmills -- most at that level are only going to be good for 10-15 minutes a day of basic walking. Below is a guide to what is decent in that range.
