The only children I knew who were 2 and wearing those size clothing were considered over weight. I also don't know what your daughter looks like either so I can't exactly say that she is, but I would suggest finding another doctor if you don't feel your daughter is getting adequate care from hers.
Also, be very careful what you feed your daughter. Food companies are very deceiving and will tell you something is low in fat but if you look at the label you will notice it's high in sodium. Also, limit the amount of juice (even 100%) that you give to your daughter, as that can contribute to weight gain. Try to give her drinks such as water....if she needs flavor for it squeeze some lemon into it, and milk.....and try to go with skim if she'll allow it.
If your daughter truly is getting very healthy food she could just be naturally big for her age or have other health problems that is causing the weight gain. Also, does she take any medication? If so, that could be a factor as well. Just get another doctor!

I wouldn't worry about her thickness - many 2 year olds don't lose their "baby fat" until closer to 4. She must be on the taller side if she can wear a 5T-6 - that is big for a 2 year old.
My daughter is almost 3, and she weighs 30 pounds - I'm not sure how tall as we haven't had her checkup yet - but she's on the taller side - she wears a 3T - 4 clothing.
As long as she is eating healthily and getting exercise, I wouldn't worry about her size too much now. She's probably still hanging on to some of her baby fat still. Hope this helps!

Average would be 30 lbs. If she weighs more than 36 lbs she is overweight. If she weights less than 22 lbs then she is underweight. Average height would be 35 1/2 inches.

My son is 2 1/2 and he weighs 32lbs and is 35" tall. This is right at the 50%. so you would have to compare on a whole scale. He wears 3T.

Whatever you do don't start getting obsesive about her weight at 2 1/2. She is still a baby and it's totally okay for her to have abay fat. As long you feed her healthy food (if she'll eat it. My kid hasn't eaten a vegitable since she was in a high chair) and gets some excersize.

hmmm... well, is she watching tv right now while you're on the computer???
Show her what it's like outside-- play with her!!
I'm not the perfect mom, My son is 3, and wears 4T. He is not chubby though, He is TALL. His doctor ( who can tell you about height/weight) said that he is going to be at least 6'2!!
So, my son is addicted to TV, but you have to wean them off it. If I don't want him sitting on his ***, I throw him outside, close the door and let him stay out there. Eventually, he finds something to do and he has fun.
Maybe try cooking healthy snacks with eachother??

I weighed 55 lbs when I was three... I'm fine now. Don't get too obsessive.
