No, abortion does not save babies from "suffocation in dumpsters" or other forms of infanticide... because abortion is not applied to babies, to infants that can survive independent of the womb. It is only applied to embryos in early stages of development that are not yet viable (capable of living outside the womb).
However, abortion and euthanasia do share one important quality - they are both done to help create a better life by granting a dignified death. I know it seems paradoxical, but sometimes the best commitment to life requires an intentional death. Perhaps the best gift you can give your ailing grandmother who lives in agony as cancer takes over her body, is respect her wish to NOT be resusitated... perhaps the best gift you can give your future child is to not let him be born too early, when you are incapable of giving him a decent life, and waiting until you are mentally and physically ready for the duties of parenthood... perhaps the best gift you can give your daughter is the right to make her own choice....
Did you know euthanasia literally translates to "good death"? Try, just for a moment, to see how an abortion might be a good death as well...

I guess you could look at it that way. On the other hand it's also like the reason not to allow euthanasia, in that euthanasia could be used over the individuals wishes or choice, and the fetus certainly has no choice in the matter.
As always, it's better to plan ahead and prevent rather than kill an innocent.

It has been proven that the fetus suffers pain when abortion happens also.
When a young mother doesn't realize there is $ help available to have a baby in a safe place & they are worried about family condemnation, that young mother will kill their own child in a dumpster. That also, a young mother knew she could also bring her baby to a hospital, fire department, etc. & leave it, then we wouldn't have this problem. Of mothers throwing their babies in dumpsters. Many more babies die from abortions than getting thrown in dumpsters anyway.

I'm sorry, but I think that's a very poor analogy.
I'm pro-choice, but I don't believe abortion stops babies being left in dumpsters. The sort of person able to bring themselves to do that usually isn't sensible enough to terminate their pregnancy.

I think it does. Although I strongly disagree with it, I think its a law that should remain in effect. Not that babies still won't be found in dumpsters, it just reduces the percentage considerably. I think abortion is murder and a tragedy.

Euthanasia is not legal, abortion is....There will always be babies like this I am afraid...
there is just to many differences in people beliefs....abortion is Murder, plain and simple...so is the "day after pill"....this is just to convenient for people when there would be a very simple solution to this.
Euthanasia, needs to be legal, for all those people in pain from disease...other countries have done it, why not the U.S?.
It should be legal.

No. Euthanasia, the person makes the choice themselves, if they are in pain and want to die. Abortion, your making a choice for someone else, your baby.
Euthanasia = suicide
Abortion = Murder

yes it is the same.
both try to minimize needless suffering.
a good thing !
for both actions there should be clear medical criteria. Ofcourse you dont abort a baby just because one doesnt want a baby. neither a person is euthanised just because the person doesnt want to live anymore.
equalising murder with abortion and euthanasia with suicuide is extremley short minded

yes abortion and euthanasia are the same thing "murder" "killing"
I do not agree with the principle of Euthanasia or mercy killing. Are they trying to imply that God does not have mercy on those people; and that they would rather be the one to apply mercy? That, of course, is unbiblical! That is a way of humiliating God! If someone is still alive, it is because it is not yet their time. It is only God who has the right to take someone's life, as what is written in Deuteronomy 32:39 —
“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.”
It is possible that the reason why God is not yet taking someone's life is because He is teaching that person a lesson or two — to probably repent and be righteous. I do not call it mercy killing because that is plain murder! God said, "Thou shall not kill."
