They`re not always chocolate coated. There are also sweetmeal and wholemeal which are plain ones, and good `dunkers`. Wholemeal are a suitable biscuit for diabetics.

But they don’t have a real medical purpose. They just taste good with tea.

Make digestion much nicer.Chocolate is there to melt in your mouth.After a quick dip in your coffee.Yum Yum.Try plain ones
dipped in Red Wine.Really nice.

The chocolate digestive biscuit in England ( UK ) are for dunking in your tea (cuppa) dunk to much they can go soggy and end up on the bottom of your cup
