P for parent. Who cares if the moms are the majority of them. Then again Im not so sure about the "stay" term now that I think about it. Dont like the "work" term either though. There must be something better.

I am a MOM, not "parent". Parent is such a sterile term. I am a Mom. I was a Stay at Home MOM.

I use the term SAHM because I am the mom. If it was hubby staying at home he could use whatever term he wants. I don't think it really matters what term we use.

I absolutely agree. Considering that I know two fathers that stay at home, that term seems much more inclusive. I'd like to see a different term, too, but unfortunately, none comes to mind.
