I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Often when we exercise we change the makeup of our bodies. If you are eating properly you could be gaining muscle mass. As muscles breakdown and rebuild its is not unusual to either stay the same weight or gain weight.
If you are truly gaining weight, and you are exercising and eating right. There could be a couple of reason, first, your Calorie intake is greater then your calorie consumption. Even with a moderate activitly level you should be looking at no more then 2000 - 2200 Calories a day.
If you are staying away from junk foods, This includes Fruit Juices and Soft drinks who are major contributor to unwanted calories and Carboydrates (sugar). Then it is possible that you may have a metobolic issue, which a doctor can test for with a simple blood test. Your thyroid could be working slower and may need a boost.
Those are the two reason I can think of, visit http://thediabeticrunner.blogspot.com to see what I am up to in terms of my activity and habits.

You can't just rely on exercising more--it's purely a matter of how much comes in vs. how much goes out. So watch how much you eat, but don't try to fast, either. If you eat 3 small meals and 3 small snacks a day, it will help your metabolism keep going. Otherwise, with all the exercise and not much coming in, it thinks it's starving and shuts down your metabolism. The best diet is the diabetic diet, which is probably on the American Diabetic Association's website. Basically, all you're doing is eating the food pyramid, and spreading it out over the course of the day.

When you run make sure your heart rate stays up, as your body gets used to it, you need to either up your speed or up your distance. Also watch what your eating, make sure you are eating healthy foods and not fatty or greasy or sugary foods. Good luck to you, hope this helped!
