9/11 was a huge spiritual flashpoint in America. I'm simply curious how many people here went to, changed, or possibly abandoned their beliefs following that event.

Interestingly, no...but I didn't leave religion because of 9/11; I think simply because it was 5 1/2 years ago you'll get a lot of different answers.

It affected my faith tremendously.
It taught me that death is very clear and can happen at any time. I can't even imagine what was going through the minds of those people, but if I had to guess, I would think their last thoughts were probably of God.
I don't believe God caused 9/11.
I don't believe he "let" it happen.
Honestly, my perspective on God is this, God gave man free will, man has done what he wished with that free will, that includes includes destroying ourselves & others.
Sooo, I think ppl become ignorant when they start believing that God is in charge of everyone's lives, and everything is pre-ordained. Because it isn't. I don't believe that, never have, never will. That is in fact not "free will" which we obviously have.

The 911 attacks in deed has changed the world. Before the 911 attacks I had a strong faith. Therefore as I was suprised but not so surprised. The Bible tells us things that will happen in the last days.

Matt.24:7 "Nations will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom"

Matt. 24:7 "There will be food shortages...in one place after another"

Luke 21:11 "there will be great earthquakes"

Luke 21:11 "In one place after another pestilences"

Matt. 'Increased lawlessness accompanied by a cooling off love on the part of the greater number'

2Timothy 3:1-5 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with with be here. For men will be overs of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no naturla affection, not open to any agreement, slanders, with out self-control, fierce, with out love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power, and from these turn away.

I am still the same! I gave my heart to the Lord Jesus Christ when I was 14 years old. I am now 41and leading my life for Christ! But it seemed right after 9/11 there became a spiritual ferver and as time went on we reverted right back to where we were. We need to get our nation back to thinking of Christ again!

seeing Babylon the Great put down in one hour re-affirmed my faith. Fulfillment of prophesy should do that to a person.

I don't agree with you. Only weak-minded people were affected by two buildings being destroyed. In Lebanon and Iraq this happens every day. Do you think about that?

9/11 was one more entry in the pile of evidence that God is either nonexistent, apathetic or sadistic.
