Why is the answer always no for amputees? Surely if god is capable of anything and even miracles, this would be no big deal to say yes once in awhile.

The simple everyday civic religion of America is what you are experiencing here on Yahoo Answers. There is deeper and more real Christianity out there in America. But they are not the favor with the loud mouths.
Sounds like you are a trauma victim of some sort, maybe combat, maybe not and have had your childhood notions of Christianity exposed by the reality of real life, which causes the whole simplistic view of religion to be exposed as a fraud, particularly when people old enough to know better are yelling it out across the public square, but experience will teach them the hard way.
They are indeed the children of God because they know not what they do! So forgive them, Jesus the man said that to his accusers and tormentors as he died on the cross.

Pray hard enough and if you cannot afford to purchase an artificial limb may be someone with good heart and a good amount of money will help you get one.
The miracle that God can do to you is the inventions He helped a man to think of making an artificial limbs. Unless a scientist is able to extract some genes from lizards that can always regrow his tail, you have got to make use of an extension available or crutch or wheel chair,
Another miracle that for sure He may be able to give you is your ability to adopt to your situation and be healthy enough to find a way to be useful accepting the physical limitation you have. What you do not have must not be a total hindrance to whatever dream you have.
I have friend in the Philippines who have only one finger in each hand and walk on the base of her thigh because she is an amputee on both legs above the knee. She is teaching in school for handicaps and an activist for the rights of the people with handicap to work and she has no time to blame God for what she is.

I know it's not exactly a limb, but I had an ear drum grow back overnight with no scarring the same night someone laid hands on it and prayed. I went from deaf in one ear to perfect hearing. And if you read Smith Wigglesworth's accounts, he prayed for people whose amputated feet grew back. God can do whatever He wants...doesn't mean it will be what we want though. If you pray and it doesn't happen, it certainly isn't because he "can't". Hope this helps!

You get one spirit, one soul, and one physique in this life. loss of a limb motives some degree of inconvenience even although that's not a disease. No. many human beings even although have been miraculously secure against the obtainable loss-of-a-limb injuries whilst others have been healed of infections that could have resulted in an amputation order by using a doctor.

From what I've studied about the miraculous, it's not so much about prayer as it is about faith...either the person who needs the miracle or the person praying for the person needing the miracle.
Do a search on people such as Kathryn Kuhlman, Smith Wigglesworth, Aimee Semple McPherson, A A Allen, Jack Coe, Charles Parham...

I'm afraid that the chances are zero. God has a plan for you and it involves an amputation. I believe that even if we don't understand His plans, they're in place for a reason. Maybe you should pray just as hard that He reveal what His plan for you is and ask for the strength and courage to follow it.

Don't count on it, regardless of how strong your faith is. Actually, I knew a believer who believed that God would lengthen his one leg so they would both be the same length (he had been in an accident as a teenager and had to wear a brace on the leg). But it never happened, and he was a very strong believer.

Alas, believe it or not, had your leg been amputated before you were much beyond a zygote, it indeed probably would have grown back. Lizard retain the ability to regrow a tail, even as adults.

Sure, there's always a chance. Even if you don't pray. Strange, unusual things happen all the time. Either way, I'm betting the chance is really really really slight.
