crockpot glazed chicken

* 6 ounces orange juice, frozen concentrate, thawed
* 6 chicken breast halves
* 1/2 teaspoon ground marjoram or thyme
* 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* dash garlic powder
* 1/4 cup cold water
* 2 tablespoons cornstarch

PREPARATION:
In a small bowl, combine thawed orange juice concentrate with the marjoram, garlic powder and ground nutmeg. Wash chicken and pat dry; dip pieces into the orange juice mixture to coat completely. Place in slow cooker/Crock Pot. Pour the remaining orange juice mixture over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until chicken is tender and juices run clear.

When chicken is done, remove to serving platter. Pour the sauce that remains into a saucepan. Mix the cornstarch and water and stir into the juice in pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbly. Serve the sauce over the chicken.

Per Crock Pot Customer Service: Thank you for contacting Crock-Pot, a brand of Jarden Consumer Solutions. Both the Low & High settings cook at 215 degrees F., but they cycle differently. Therefore, the High setting will still cook the food in a shorter period of time than the Low setting will. Please remember that these are all approximate temperatures and they can vary depending on what you are cooking. It can also boil on High and Low. We do recommend that you always fill your slow cooker at least 1/2 - 3/4 of the way full with liquid or sauce, and you may also have to adjust your cook times accordingly. This will prevent the food from drying out and burning. Also: The warm setting is around 165°

peel and dice up carrots
peel and dice up onions
put on bottom of crockpot
add chicken ontop
add bbq sauce ontop
add 1/2 cup water

Tip>>> I often Brown the chicken or porkchops in a frying pan, drain the fat off the chicken or porkchops then place in crockpot. It gives it a bit more of a flavour and keeps the outside done like in oven, but inside suculant and juicy*
you can do the same with pork chops* Easy and yummy*
