Society (namly ever person in america) doesn't expect more of them. Another sad fact is in most groups you can brag about sexual conquest, but when it comes to love you better keep your mouth close. The acceptance of a role for males that is emotionless, simple and hurts ones ability to make close intimate bonds. Also its not right to generlize something that crosses sexual boarders. You can't expect men to mature faster then women and as long as their's immature women out there, there won't be a reason for men to mature. Also its up to each individual to make there own choose's on what it acutal means to be mature. My concept and yours might be completely different. Also because of the global misconception of what love is, you can't expect too many people to mature past that point. I mean I'm on hear everyday and the same number of people from both sexes complain about how bad their relationship is, but stay because he loves her, which isn't mature, espacially not mature love. And its except'd with in our culture that love is all you need.... this cultural misconception propituates societies inability to mature as a whole, not just because of one sex... not very mature of you to just blame us men for taking to long ;-) its so much more complicated then that.... maybe why you couldn't answer the question yourself, is your seeing it as a simple case of men being boys. The problem with that is our society doesn't have a health ideal of what divides a man from a boy, and because of this so do women. So stop going out with them just because there cute, their counting on you to fall for that...jk ;-) when we should be looking at pricipal and purpose to help us understand the level of maturity that an individual has.....
