Are you willing to adopt all the un-wanted babies that were born into families without sufficient income to support the child?

Also, thanks to abortions, it's a small start to preventing over-population. Your thoughts on that idea?

JP I'm trying. I believe that gay men and women have every right to be married as people in love as do a straight couple.

My parents adopted me. I found my birth mother 6 yrs ago. I thank her every Mother's Day for giving me the chance to live and I thank my mom for raising me.

I have an uncle and aunt that adopted a girl 5 yrs ago. I have a cousin that adopted two babies. I have 3 friends that have adopted children and are in the process of adopting more. And all of these couples have biological children as well. Adoption doesn't stop over-population. It just takes a child from a parent that can't or doesn't want to be a parent and gives that child to a parent(s) that want to be a parent(s). It doesn't change the world's population. Abortion decreased the population that should have been.

I understand a woman being raped or a girl being molested is a whole different story. They aren't wanting to have sex then and/or with that person. But with support and love, that woman can get thru the pregnancy and give the baby up for adoption. Many have done it. For the girls and women that have sex without protect because they were in the heat of the moment and forgot to put on the condom or forgot to take their pill, if they are responsible enough to have the most intimate physical act with a man then they are responsible enough to carry a baby for 9 months and get help for either raising that baby or finding a couple that will.

What do you say to the hundreds of couples that have adopted 5, 6, 7, ..13 children, orphans, infants, physically handicapped children, abused children, babies thrown in trash cans? I admire them. It takes a very special person and a selfless heart to take on so much responsibility. And these aren't rich people. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt love children and have money to raise many children but most adoptive parents don't have much money. They make sacrifices for their children. Having an abortion isn't a sacrifice. It is the most selfish act. The baby's body is cut up and sucked out and thrown out. What a way to be treated just because their parents decided to have sex for 20 minutes.

"Also, over population just doesn't exist"

Oh my Gods lady, in what alternate universe do you live???
Of course over population exists, and it is only getting worse.
As to abortion being a means of controlling over-population, that is obscene.
I'm Pro-Choice, and I believe in a woman's right to choose, but not for that purpose.
As for Pro-Lifers supporting unwanted babies that might otherwise be aborted, I have often asked that question myself.
If you all are so gong ho on not "murdering the pre-born" then put your money where your mouth is. Help support these women through their pregnancies, adopt the babies or find other suitable homes for them.
There may be a few of you out there that do this, but you are few and far between.
Besides, what gives you the right to decide for another how they should live their life?????

"Tell you what, you get gay marriage approved so I can stand a snowball's chance in hades of being able to adopt, and we'll see about me adopting."

I'm all for approving Gay Marriage, that shouldn't even be an issue since everyone is guarenteed equal rights under the law in the Bill of Rights. I don't see what the fuss is all about.

I believe abortion should be an option as a medical procedure. However, in this day and age it is completely unnecessary to use it as birth control. Girls and women who have unplanned pregnancies are also exposing themselves to STDs and other diseases.

I am definitely pro-life and support organizations that help young women keep and raise their children. I truly wish I had adopted a baby and wish more people would.

I agree that we need to make adoption less expensive. Making the red tape a little shorter would be a start.

I am a pro-lifer, but I support the right to choose. i think every woman had the right to choose whether she has sex or not. Do we really need to educate the population on the birds and the bees?

The time to decide if you want children is before you have sex, it's as simple as that.

Lots of people will yell, 'but what about rape and incest?" The minute fraction of abortions done for that reason is hardly worth even discussing. And in most cases, even those children will find parents that are more than willing and able to care for them and raise them.

You don't wait until after the deed, and then say, " Oh, my, how am I going to raise this child? I think I should kill it. " Sorry, too late.

I think that it is very possible..My friends looked for years for a baby to adopt and it ended up costing them $30,000 dollars to do it. No wonder there aren't many that can do it.

Are you also willing that we have a lottery or random selection to eliminate people from the world population?? We have like 3 million people in jail in the USA, we could kill all of them and save a lot of money too.
Where do you end this when you start killing and sometimes it ends up being YOU that gets picked to be the sacrafice.

There are plenty of Christians to adopt unwanted babies and don't you ever think not. But very few can pay 30,000 dollars for every baby..

There are tons of programs and groups wanting to take care of the "Un-wanted" babies. Do some research on "abortion alternatives" Google it.

As far as over population, the population in the US is NOT growing, google Social security funding through 2025 the problem we are going to face is not enough young working people paying into the fund and to many old, retired people drawing out.

Peace and God Bless.

Oh and by the way, I happily give to groups helping out "Unwanted" children, I am a bit to old to adopt them myself but know many younger families who desperately want to adopt but no children are available.

Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:

You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish.

God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.

Well, let's start with the first.

No, I am not willing. I hate to break to these people, but sex was designed for procreation and, amazingly, tends to produce offspring! If you are not ready to become a parent, DO NOT HAVE SEX! This is really not that difficult.

We do not have an overpopulation problem, so there's no need to prevent one. By that logic, why don't we simply execute ALL criminals - that would help as well.

Two questions for you:

1) Why should the child pay for the irresponsibility of the parent as the only innocent party?

2) Would you support forced sterilization for those who have children they cannot support?

There are so many people who are looking for children to adopt that it would easily cover the multitude of abortions infesting America and the rest of the world today.

The real issue isn't insufficient income - the real issue is to accept responsibility for our actions. People who choose to participate in sexual activity should also be prepared to take care of the babies they create. If that means raising a baby under hardship circumstances - that responsibilty belongs
to the couple who are participating in the sexual activity. If the baby suffers it is because people refuse accountability for their actions, and in many cases resort to abortion with no consideration for the baby.

Abortion is not population control. It is outright murder of a living entity. If you have the guts to look at abortion photos and see the reality of what I am saying you will never question
the worth of abortion again.

I have seen little children that are easily recognizable as fully formed babies with their little hands and legs ripped from their bodies from Dissection and Evacuation abortions. I have seen babies fully formed that were murdered by injecting salt saline solution into the Mother's water and burned alive while screaming out for help and able to do nothing about it. Their little blackened bodies destroyed beyond recovery.

I have read doctors and nurses testimonies where botched abortions produced live babies partially burned or alive with limbs missing. The babies were thrown into mop buckets in hospital closets and left there screaming in pain until they died for lack of attention or healing. This sickened so many of these medical professionals that they will never do abortions again.

Pro lifers are committed to saving these defenseless babies against the horrible pain inflicted upon them by those who live for convenience without conscience. It is to shut down the planned parenthood organization which is the biggest provider of abortions in this nation and accepts multiplied millions upon millions of dollars from their victims while hiding
the truth of this hideous practice.

We are lucky that abortion is legal, remember all the coat hanger abortions, each person must make the decision that best works for them and to live with that decision. It is not better to have an unwanted child. look around we have enough of those already. Judge not lest ye be judged.
