im a looking for a local food bank or a place for low income families to get free food.can someone please tell me where to begin looking/who to call. i would very greatly appreciate it and thank you kindly

The salvation army might be able to help you. Also americas second harvest food bank, they have locations everywhere. Most all large churces have some kind of food bank. Also try your local government office, maybe you can get emergency food stamps. Also sign up for your local freecycle group @ freecycle.org. Then post a wanted ad for unwanted food items, people will respond. I hope I have offered some help, I wish I could do more. Good luck to you!

I would call your local public aid office. Or even a free medical clinic that has WIC. They can probably give you some numbers. A Goodwill or a Sign Of The Kingdom can help too. Oh, and local churches usally have food banks. The public Aid office can also help with food stamps to help you buy food monthly. Any goverment office can help you find a place.

The Salvation Army might either help or point you in the right direction. Get out the phone book and look in the Gov't section for anything that might pertain, and they will either not know or tell you another place to call. Churches should know, and even if you aren't a member. Or you could call homeless shelters, even though you're not homeless. They help people get back on their feet.
It will probably be frustrating, but hang in there. Someone knows the answer. *hugs*

go to your nearest Community Centre they will help set you up for the help you need or call social services and ask where the food bank is...they will help you out also*

i would go if i was you go to pizza hut or to this Indian restaurant called Nandoes these 2 are the best or to Chicken Cottage.
