I work at a plastic recycling company as a receptionest. They clean grind, and do what ever else they do to get plastic scrap ready for sale. They burn it to see what type it is.
I had a Betta on my desk that suddenly died.

Ok now the question.
As soon as get to work I immidiatey start sneeizing n sometimes coughing and also get a little nausea. My nose is runny all day. One day I had a nose bleed and I have never had a nose bleed unless I got hit in it. I think its allergies. But would allergies make me feel like I have to vomit and make my nose bleed. I think something comes through the vents. I told my boss but she just blows it off.
Do you think the fish dying is related.

I have a betta at home. They are not that sensitive. My two year old poured chili powder in the bowl, chocolate powder. The chilipowder was done in the middle of the night so it sat in the water about 5-6 hours. It's still living.

My brother-in-law used to work for his father and made plastic bags of all types. This stuff can be very toxic to some people. Your body is trying to tell you something. As a receptionest you are probably not allowed to wear a mask, so my question is: Why you should suffer the possibility of bad health?

Time for a job change.

Good Luck!

Fish are quite sensitive to chemicals etc so it may have something to do with the problems your having - however if your reaction only happens at work then yes I would say your allergic to something there. Allergic reactions can come out in many forms and nausea can be one of them - if you have told management and they blow you off - contact a occupational health and safety group (usually government run) and get them to come check out the place or you will just need to leave.

I don't think the fish is related, Beta's are sensetive fish and don't have a very long life span.

I DO think you should take a day or two off and see if your symptoms clear up. If they do and you know it's your work environment. Call Osha anonymously and give them a tip that your companies vent systems need a check up.

Oh dear.

Yes, you should be worried, and the fish dying probably is related- if it wasn't an old fish.

Talk to your superiors, and get a doctor to examine you. I'm thinking you may have a more serious problem than allergies.
