When you came back to the states, where did you live?
The town you lived in should have a copy, you can usually just pay a small fee to get a notarized copy of your own.
Hope this helps.

first i wish people who didn't have children born aboard would answer this type of question because you don't know the answer.
Okay here goes you have to write to Department of Vital Statistic in Washington DC, that will get you started it cost about 30 dollars,at least that was in 1981 i would go to their website then there is someplace else in dc you have to write to get you certificate for Citizen Born Aboard then yet another. Or ask you mom if she made a certified copy when she came stateside while buying a house, if she did that will save lots of time then all you have to do is go back to that court house and get the certified copy otherwise Washington is the only place. That's why my sons is under lock and key,

If you were born on a military base in england try the Naval medical services they should be able to obtain a copy. But if you were born on english soil you might try the British Embassy here, I'm sure they could steer you inthe right direction.

Since you were born in England, I suggest your start with the Bureau of Vital Records or something like that. Although she was in the Navy...and an american citizen, your birthplace is still England.
