Depends what you're looking for. Wine is okay if its good wine. Moonshine is awesome if you know how to make it right. Plus, making your own moonshine is a lot cheaper. You could fill your bathtub with moonshine for the price of a bottle of good wine.
I once walked in on the end of my girlfriend giving herself an abortion with a coathanger. Six months in. It wasn't pretty. I held the fetus in my hand. It was my child. Lying on the floor in a puddle of blood. My girlfriend survived after over a hundred stitches to the insides of reproductive system.
I won't stand in the way of any woman who wants to have an abortion especially if she's young or has been raped but I sure don't encourage it. If everyone who had an abortion held the fetus of their dead child in their hands, they'd be a helluva lot more careful with their birth control methods. On teh other hand, its population control and there's two many humans on this planet anyway. I'm torn between...

Wine isn't inherently "safer" than moonshine; both will get you drunk, both can kill you in a car while driving. There are some really good 'shines out there, and some really poor wines.

To your point though, things done in a controlled fashion are typically safer than those done in an ad-hoc fashion.

Clinics are certainly safer, as long as they are held to high standards, and if they become illegal, there will be no overseer to insure that those standards are adhered to.

Yes, they're both safer..... But If families were more open-minded & accepting towards the fact that teenagers experiment with sex... they wouldn't have to even resort to abortion in the event of an accidental pregnancy.

I don't think that killing the baby should be an option.

Exactly. If you ban abortions, you won't stop them - but you WILL be killing people who are desperate enough to try to end it themselves. And it just gets worse among the religious, who don't educate their kids about sex or birth control. The percentage of teenage pregnancies is much higher in the bible belt than anywhere else in this country.

So, by your logic, if someone is gonna do it anyway, we ought to make it legal?
Do you really want to go there?

While we're on the subject, do you know how many alcohol related traffic deaths there are every year? Are you safe out on the roads on a Friday or Saturday night?
My husband wasn't...that is why I am a widow. That is why I was left to raise our kids by myself. The drunk that killed him got to go home to his family.
Was that fair??

Isn't using 99.9% effective birth control better than having to worry about how to abort?

Wouldn't it have been smart not to mess around to begin with?
