It depends on what you mean as the worlds biggest tree as in height or overall size. 2000 years old, El Arbol del Tule is call the worlds largest tree in some books here are some other links .

They are the Giant Sequoias (a type of redwood conifer) in Sequoia National Park in California, USA.

IIRC, there is one particular tree that is the largest among the other sequoias of that forest.
