Today my brother got driven into by a lorry driver from another country. He drove into the back of my bothers car and if someone had been in the passenger side they would have died. This lorry driver didnt know uk driving rules. Why are these dangerous drivers allowed on the roads? He has probably been driving all through europe.

It is an unfortunate incident you brother was involved in and I hope he's OK. I was a truck driver for 15 years, and I have seen some foreign wagons driven very badly.

However, we need to solve the problem with British drivers. There are many thousands of British car and truck drivers, who live here, have passed a U.K. driving test and still don't know the U.K. driving rules. Why are these dangerous drivers allowed on the roads?
They are the ones who truly need to be banned...

It is strange that this lorry driver does not know the UK driving rules. They are supposed to know rules of any country they are driving in.

The problem for banning them over here is that we would be banned from going in other countries and then how would we export our goods. This would cause financial difficulties to companies, which would have to close down and then more people will be unemployed.

Sorry your brother came across a bad one I have met many lorry drivers (all nationalities) over the years and they have always been very competent.

:-)))

final time I went to jap Europe, the coach driving force grew to become into additionally an entire time lorry driving force. whilst he asked for an afternoon without work, his boss advised him to flow and artwork for somebody who might enable that. He could have been limited by potential of the ecu rules, yet they are often flouted. In Moscow, I observed human beings using around cones on a carpark. in the event that they did not knock the cones over, they handed their using attempt. notwithstanding some drivers do enhance with experience, some do not.

Sure but let's ban your lorry drivers from the rest of the world. Maybe some gigantic truck yard in the middle of the chunnel where trailers could be exchanged...

I am not from your country but we get the same attitude from people like you here that do not understand. Sorry for the wreck he was in. But I am sure just as many autos if not more are in wrecks everday and we dont start yelling to ban them its not possible, you can restrict them to 10 mph and make them drive in the ditch and the fact remains they have to roll for you to survive. It was an accident, and there will be more. THE TRUCK DRIVERS DODGE IDIOTS EVERYDAY AND AVOID MORE ACCIDENTS THAN THEY CAUSE.

No they shouldnt be banned. If truck drivers from other countries were banned we would be screwed.
ow else are we going to get foreign products to our country cheaply? You think U drivers should go over, collect bring back?
It would cost too much. far too much.
The applies if UK drivers were banned from driving in Europe, how would any businesses make money if they weren't allowed to export to Europe in trucks?

I'd like to say yes as they annoy me (most lorries annoy me) but tragically without all these big lorries chugging up and down the motorways making us late for work everyday, we would have no products on our shop shelves.
