"Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
Mathew 12:30-32
I chose to to be with Him and not with the SCATTERERS.
Is that alright?

I'M not responsible for THEM! Perhaps YOU are. The only one that I acknowledge in THIS respect is Jesus. Those poor souls in your history books are perhaps numbered along with the scatterers; iregardless of their claims.

Ney. In fact, choosing where your lots lay based upon the people in these groups, gatherers vs. scatterers is the problem. This statement is saying, it is forgivable to doubt or speak against the Son of Man, but to deny yourself and the Holy Spirit within you, or to speak against the Holy Spirit as He is kindled within another's heart.
The point is, it seems like you're searching for a definition of what not to be (scattering) in order to find out what you want to be, and this is the wrong way to go about self-actualization and connection with the Holy Spirit. He is saying, try for Him and He shall have you. Follow your own path, the unspeakable path only the Spirit within you can define, not the bricks and sidewalks and preaching leading wherever the rest of the world is going.

This website offers some good insight on the question:
http://www.kencollins.com/question-43.htm
The gist of it is that the quote is corrupted; in the original text Jesus is talking about demons and spirits, not people. Just before this quote, Jesus talks about driving out demons. He points out that someone who drives out a demon in the name of another demon does no good, it only does good to drive out a demon in the name of God. In other words, if you drive out evil for any other reason than Godliness you are still acting against God.
I'm not sure that makes it much more tolerant, but it's a little clearer.

Hmm since he knew everything, I wonder if he took into account what "scat" would mean in this day and age. I'm not too much into scattering.

"If you're not with me, you're against me."
"The fool says in his heart there is no god."
"Whoever doesn't forsake his family can never join me."
These are the classic signs of a cult. If people don't join us, they're actively trying to destroy us. Everyone who questions what I say is a fool. Don't listen to your family and friends who might try to talk some reason into you.
Isn't it obvious?

There's nothing "right", kind or virtuous about divisiveness and dualism. They lack logic, which was another thing that convinces me the whole omnipotent creator being thing is illogical as well.
