First start by writing down everything you eat. By keeping a food journal and actually see what you are putting in your body can help you make smarter choices. Drink lots of water. Why would you want to drink your calories? I'd much rather eat 100 calories in food instead of with a drink.

As for exercise...you just kind of have to make it a priority. See it like something you have to do instead of something you should do. You don't neglect yourself of food...you shouldn't neglect yourself of exercise. It's like air...you got to have it and it will make you feel so much better.

Once you get into the routine of things and start seeing major changes in your body and how you feel then it will be much easier to continue.

Good luck

I'm getting married in less than a year, I have a year to get down to my perfect size 7 that Ive wanted too be for so long. My secret is that I put pictures of beautiful women (they are average sized, some are even plus size models) on my mirror in my bedroom, bathroom, on the door, fridge, and i even taped one right under my airconditioner knobs in my car, so that way when I feel the urge to eat, I stick some big red in my mouth (10 cals per piece, so I chew half a stick each time I get a craving) and stare at the picture and it gives me the motivation to not get that hot fudge sundae I'm craving. I used to eat whatever and whenever. Im drinking tons of water, and eating 1200-1300 cal a day, and exercising!

i try to make a game out of eating healthy while still enjoying the foods that I consume. instead of eating tuna on bread or crackers I use cucumber slices. I get tired of eating lentils and vegetables so I make soups with them for a while.

when the sugars cravings hit, I don't substitute the good foods for the bad. I eat the good foods first for the nutrients/calories then if I'm still hungry I will eat the cake, ice cream, etc.

Slow down. I can't stress that enough (get it?). Instead of blindly putting away that second piece of carrot cake, put the fork down and be happy with what you've just eaten. There will ALWAYS be enough food. You don't have to eat it all right now.
And the jogging... gives me a good reason to get out of the house!

keep active. exercise in the morning and do something in the evening. When I lost a lot of weight was when I exercised in the morning and in the evening. Also drink water, take your supplements, carry a healthy snack in your purse or bookbag.
