Hello Yoda Green… :)
If science has taken another step backwards by saving the life of an innocent little child who cannot speak for themselves..Than what does that tell us about the "science" that promotes abortion..
The "science" that I trust, is one that "protects children" and their right to be born..To have someone speak up for "Their" little body..
A woman's body is not just her own, when there is another life that is sharing her heart and blood etc..
How many here, could watch a baby being torn apart limb from limb..or poisoned to death..
If you can in all honesty say that it would not bother you..than were does your priority lie..
What has this world truly come to.. :(
When we say it is a horrible crime to see any child tortured..but "unborn" babies in the womb do not matter.. :(
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

I'm a proponent of a woman's right to choose... I'm not a proponent of abortion.
I agree with you completely. So many of these answers are missing the point. You don't have to like abortion or support it... but you do have to let a woman choose what she can and can't do with her own body.
Why do the rights of an unborn fetus supercede the rights of an adult female who has her life to live, especially if that growing fetus is threatening her life? It's those life-threatening cases, after 12 weeks, in which this type of abortion applies. Even doctor's agree. Why do we let politicians tell us what we can do with our bodies?
If this applied to something having to do with men, there's no WAY it would have passed. But it's perfectly acceptable to tell women they can't choose.
Now that this procedure is banned... the entire concept of abortion is at risk. Then it will be back to the back alleys and more women dying. I guess that's okay with the conservative Christians in the country. They feel it's the price women pay for getting pregnant when they don't want to or for not wanting a deformed child or whatever other reason they choose for having an abortion. And if the fetus threatens your life, it must be what god wants.
Ugh.

I'm an Atheist, but i am pro-life and I have to admit that I do not understand how killing a baby in a woman who wasn't ready for a child, but was ready to have sex has anything to do with science going backwards?!
Science is about finding the answers & bettering humanity.... How is killing unborn babies furthering science??
I mean, what does abortion do to further cures for diseases or help those who have lost limbs or eyesight or hearing...etc. Abortion is the killing of a child who never asked to be born, and never asked to die.... but never had a choice in the matter.
As far as i am concerned, abortion is murder. Why should a mother be allowed to kill her child simply on the basis that she deems herself an unfit mother to raise a child in whatever circumstances she's in? I think the problem rests with the families & the person's upbringing because some will argue that the parents may disown the kid if they knew she was pregnant...... What kind of parenting is that?
Abortion is murder no matter how you look at it. The fact that the woman "owns" the child makes it not different. It is a human life, and thus deserves the chance to live. The fact that the mother created the child does not give her the right to destroy it.

You equate "partial birth abortion" as a step backward in science? What does killing a baby have to do with science?
Conservatives are trying to get us off the slippery slope we have been on since the liberal idiots have tried to control our laws though the courts. Put it on the ballet, my friend, and see what happens then. But you and those that think like you, like, Rosie O'Donnell, would never want that. To American. Abortion would be slam dunked at the ballet box and you know it.

Here's a though....keep your legs closed. Too many women are using abortion by means of birth control. I don't think a woman has the right to kill a baby. She is taking the right of that baby away. Does it not deserve to live, just because she made a mistake. I believe in the bible and believe in the words of God. Thou shalt not kill. Killing is killing. A baby may start as a cluster of cells, but it sure doesn't end up that way if given the chance.

So killing the unborn is a step forward is it? Nothing more makes me sick then hearing how liberals think the breakdown of moral standards and abortion is a progressive move . Please don't confuse the issue of abortion with creationism i happen to be a Christian but supports Theistic Evolution . The issue of abortion is a ethical one and should be treated seriously not just an issue of woman's rights we talking about life and how we value it and protecting the innocent. Its about time the secular left were challenged on this issue but not surprised with the response like a bunch of juveniles .

The ruling says that the foetus must be dismembered and killed inside the woman instead of being dismembered and it's head crushed outside. I don't see what this has to do with science or religion or rights.
What it is about is being weaselly, an attempt to say that since the foetus was killed inside the woman, it was never alive. It's nothing but a ridiculous sophistry, and it changes nothing about the ethical argument over abortion or choice. All it does is allow a few people to feel slightly less uncomfortable about it.

You take an arguement about abortion and then bring up foolishment about the solar system , the age of the earth, and other foolishness. One thing has nothing to do with the other.
Have you ever noticed that whenever someone asks a question, and volunteers an answer to it, the answer is always stupid ?

The article also says that more than 1 million abortions are performed in this country each year. That doesn't bother you? It brings me to tears. Have you seen or watched footage of a partial birth abortion? If you have and you still support it, God be with you. If you haven't, then you should. How is this a health care decision? Because one woman might have to make this choice if her life is threatened. There are far many more who use abortion as birth control. You are here to voice your opnion as am I. I'm glad my mom did not abort me.

The democrats are no better.
Did not go to the link but the Government is considering mandating a vaccine against some strains of HPV to Girls as young as 6 years old.
I feel for the women that don't ever get the chance to even live.
More than half of the aborted babies are Girls.
Who is looking after their rights?
Peace!
